Overview

TraitWare Passwordless MFA can be used to log into Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).

Prerequisites

  • Azure Virtual Desktop configured for a set of users
  • One domain federated with TraitWare
  • Microsoft User Sync configured with TraitWare
  • User permission turned on in the TraitWare console for access to the Microsoft Application
  • Windows App (Formerly Microsoft Remote Desktop)

Steps to Login

Navigate to the Windows App (Formerly Microsoft Remote Desktop) on the Windows machine and click Sign in.

Enter the account name or select an existing account.  If using a secondary federated domain, enter a login user with the secondary domain (login@secondarydomain.com).  NOTE: In the next step, the primary user account will still be used to scan the QR code.

The TraitWare Login screen will be displayed.  Scan the QR code with the TraitWare app.  Use the primary TraitWare user to scan the QR.

A dashboard of available devices for the user is displayed.  Click Connect to connect to a device.

The user is successfully signed in to the AVD.

Further Access

Once logged in to the AVD, the user has passthrough access to other Microsoft services, such as O365.

Visit the office.com website.  Click Sign In.

Select an existing user account or add a new one.

The user is signed in to the O365 portal without being asked for a password.
